Restaurant Review: Punjabi Khu, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai

We went to Punjabi khu which means Punjabi well, a nice decent restaurant in new Dubai over the last weekend for dinner. As we enter we see a waterbody in the shape of a well, this gives a nice rustic look to the place.. And when you see sardarjis running the place, this adds to the authenticity and expectations you have from a North Indian restaurant. I feel some lanterns, charpaiis, bit of hay arrangements here and there would have added to a more dhaba look.

Coming to the food, we ordered tomato soup, punjabi fish fillet, chicken tikka masala, dhaba daal and roti basket. The food was quite nice and in very good quantity. Individual ratings for the food would be:

Tomato shorba - 5/5 - nice and tangy
Punjabi fish fillet - 3/5 since it had slightly more salt than required
Chicken tikka masala -4/5
Dhaba daal - 4/5 for all daal lovers
Roti basket had too many rotis and since we were just 3 of us, there was slight waste there. We did mention this to the lady serving us that she should have mentioned to us while taking the order that there would be 7 different types of breads in it. But nevertheless the rotis were good too.

All in all a good restaurant and it did get quite busy as time passed by.
